Braskem exhibits a replica of the Formula trophy to the public

Braskem will keep a faithful replica of the Formula 1 Brazilian GP trophy on exhibit on the ground floor of the Shopping Morumbi mall in São Paulo from November 2-9, permitting interaction with the public. Whoever goes to the mall during this period will have the chance to be photographed holding the trophy at the top of the podium that will be set up there. The photos are free and will be available on the site f1.braskem.com.br. On the day of the Grand Prix, the trophy will be exhibited from 4pm to 8pm, and starting November 3, from 12pm to 9pm.

A work by the greatest Brazilian architect in history, Oscar Niemeyer, the trophy is made of the first certified polyethylene in the world from 100% renewable raw material - sugarcane ethanol - by Braskem. This reinforces the company's commitment to sustainable development.

The piece designed by Niemeyer is inspired on the columns of Alvorada Palace. "Architecture follows the path of a work of art and emotion and surprise are what characterize a work of art. The Alvorada column is one of the symbols of Brasília's architecture. We opted to use a shape for a column that had never been used before," said Niemeyer.
