Braskem acknowledged by Fortune magazine

The index lists companies that promote more positive social impacts due to their actions. Braskem ranks 14th among the 63 selected companies.

Braskem is listed for the first time on the "Change the World" index, published by Fortune Magazine, one of the world's most traditional business publications. The index lists companies that promote more positive social impacts due to their actions. Braskem ranks 14th among the 63 selected companies. This position was achieved thanks to the Green Plastic, produced from sugarcane, 100% recyclable, which contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.

Recently, Braskem was also elected as the first company in the chemical and petrochemical sector and the eighth company in the general rankings by Value 1000, an index compiled by the newspaper Valor Econômico, after reporting record profits in 2017.

The results are the result of the company's culture and its growth strategy focusing on operational efficiency and leadership, raw material balance, geographic diversification, and asset flexibility.
