Further strengthening its relationship with the entrepreneurial innovation ecosystem, Braskem will be present at the Campus Party (CP) on February 13-16 and will take advantage of its participation in the event to announce the opening of its application period for its startup acceleration and connection programs, assembled on the Braskem Labs platform. CP visitors who are interested may sign up at the company's booth or at the website until March 10.

Braskem's space will be featuring an Escape Room in which Campus Party attendant will be invited to unravel challenges faced by entrepreneurs. The event's programming also involves lectures on various topics, such as innovation, sustainable development, and entrepreneurship.

Braskem Labs was created in 2015 to encourage projects that promote sustainable solutions through chemistry and plastics. The platform includes three programs aimed at entrepreneurs at different stages of development and with different objectives.

Scale , which is in its fifth edition, is aimed at companies with solutions already validated and available on the market and reserves a special category for those that contribute to reducing food loss; Ignition seeks good ideas or startups in the validation phase of their business models to turn them into impact businesses; and Challenge seeks solutions that address Braskem's internal issues according to the challenges launched by its areas, with the possibility of becoming suppliers or partners of the company. On the platform's website, entrepreneurs can choose the most suitable program according to their profile.

According to Luis Gustavo Ortega, Sustainable Development Manager at Braskem and Braskem Labs leader, the programs are timely for entrepreneurs to obtain the support they need to scale their businesses, increasing and enhancing the positive impact generated for society.

"For four years, we have offered mentoring for companies at different stages through the Braskem Labs platform. In Scale, for example, 51 startups have been accelerated, with more than 120 business connections have been made, more than 130 mentorships have been offered, and 40% of the companies participating in the program had conducted some kind of business with Braskem. Throughout this period, we have noticed that many of the participants mature and gain insight into leverage, even to the point where they receive input from investors shortly after their participation. Our greatest gain from all this work is the generation of a positive impact on society and the environment, while contributing to the human development of entrepreneurs throughout the program and after it, following growth and seeking to sustain the business," said the executive.

This year, Braskem Labs has the support of the accelerator Quintessa for the Ignition and Scale acceleration programs. The choice was made thanks to its commitment and focus on contributing to startups that have positive social and environmental impacts, which, according to Ortega, are in line with Braskem's purpose. "Quintessa has attracted us precisely because it is aimed at acting with social and environmental concerns, something that is very close to what Braskem is doing," he explained.

General criteria for selection include the level of innovation of the solutions presented, marketing potential, the profile of the entrepreneur and the team involved, business model, and socio-environmental impact. It is important that entrepreneurs be over 18 years of age, headquartered in any city in Brazil, and available to attend meetings in the city of São Paulo.
