With solutions in raw materials, high performance products and personalized services, Braskem strengthens its presence and operations with rubber market clients at Expobor 2018, to take place in June 26 to 28, in Expo Center Norte, São Paulo. The company will present its portfolio differentials with products that improve productivity and increase competitiveness in the industry. 

The company's highlight in the event is Braskem Unilene line, hydrocarbon resins used in the production of high performance rubber compounds, adhesives and paints. They work as great assistants in the processing of rubber, increasing productivity and reducing energy consumption without changing their final properties.  In automotive vehicles, for example, their use will ensure higher tire grip to the wet floor and less resistance to rolling, therefore providing more safety to drivers and passengers, besides reducing fuel consumption.   

"As leader in the production of hydrocarbon resins in Latin America, Braskem ensures agility in deliveries and keeps on developing new products and applications to the market", explains Adriana Morasco, responsible for Braskem's Chemical Specialties Business. "Moreover, the company's relevance in the international market is remarkable, with sales teams in the United States, Europe and Asia, clients in over 20 countries and exporting over five thousand tons a year", she concludes. 

To the fair, the company is also bringing the polybutene (PIB) solution, which can be used in films, adhesives, oil and lubricants, explosives for mining, leather and cosmetics. The raw material prevents the passage of air through the rubber and makes it more resistant. With that, products containing the compound can be made with thinner walls without losing their properties.  PIB also makes the synthetic rubber raw mass more fluid, and machines will produce more in shorter time while saving energy.  

"Our expectation of the event is very positive since the rubber sector is very important to Braskem, which counts on a large portfolio. We offer from butadiene, used in rubber confection, to chemical specialties, like Braskem Unilene and PIB. Our goal is to strengthen the company's commitment with the strengthening of the production chain of the region, which has demonstrated clear signs of production recovery", adds the executive.

Tires - Treads
Product: Braskem Unilene
Function: Optimize the processing of tread components, working as flow assistant, which allows the incorporation of hardly processing materials like, for example, recycled materials. Applicable to rubber-based treads.  
Advantages: Reach a homogeneous and stable mixture with gains in productivity, without affecting base polymer properties. 

Tires - Inner Liner
Product: Braskem PIB
Function: In Inner Liner, it is a gas barrier promoter, reducing the amount of special rubbers used in the compound.  
Advantages: Reduces formulation costs, generating 30% reduction in the amount of butyl rubber in the layer of contact with the air in the tire. 

Outsoles
Product: Braskem Unilene
 Function: Optimize the processing of outsole components, working as flow assistant, which allows the incorporation of hardly processing materials like, for example, recycled materials. Applicable to rubber-based outsoles.  
Advantages: Reach a homogeneous and stable mixture with gains in productivity, without affecting base polymer properties. 

Hoses
Product: PIB Braskem
Function: Increase gas barrier of rubbers used in hoses. 
Advantages: Reduce the amount of high barrier rubber used in the compound, because it is possible to produce thinner rubber walls, lighter and more efficient.  

Synthetic rubber
Product: Butadiene, Ethene, Propene, Benzene.
Function: Produce different rubbers like BR, NBR, SBR, PBR and PSBR.
Advantages: Synthetic rubbers for general use, with excellent chemical and thermal resistance. Quality and competitiveness superior to those of natural rubber, according to the application. Used in tires, construction material, household appliances and mechanic artifacts.  

Rubber artifacts
Product: Braskem Unilene
Function: Assist in rubber processing. 
Advantages: Moulding of rubber parts becomes easier, like for example rings, wall plugs, bearings, and rubber frames.
