Cartaplast present Green Plastic packages
São Paulo, September 5, 2016 - Green Plastic is widely used in the food market and has a new application in packaging. Cartaplast do Brasil, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary of operation, now uses the resin from renewable sources in the manufacture of plastic bag rolls - a solution for packaging foods such as meat and poultry. With the launch, the company reduces the impact on the environment through the adoption of a Brazilian technological innovation developed by Braskem, the largest manufacturer of thermoplastic resins in the Americas.
Green PE has great advantages with respect to sustainability. Besides being made from a renewable source (sugarcane), i.e., not consuming limited fossil resources, it captures CO2 during its manufacturing cycle. Cartaplast do Brasil's packages will have the I'm GreenT seal, which guarantees the origin of the product.
