Braskem Proxess combines versatility and high productivity, adapting well to different processing machinery and providing good stability during production, combined with an excellent performance of the film in its final application. They are indicated for the segments of food packaging, industrial sacks, and agricultural films.

Braskem’s hydrocarbon resin is used in the production of high-performance rubber compounds, adhesives, and paints. Its main feature is improving the properties of products, providing technical and economic advantages. Its applications include tires, shoe soles, rubber products, wood varnishes, paints, adhesives, etc. Braskem is the only producer of this type of resin in Latin America and exports over 5,000 metric tons every year to more than 20 countries.

Braskem specializes in polyisobutylene (PIB), a raw material that prevents the passage of air into rubber and makes it more resistant. Thus, the products that include the compound in their manufacturing process can be made with thinner walls without losing their properties. In addition, the PIB makes the synthetic rubber mass more fluid, allowing the machines to produce more in less time and save energy. Because it shares the same formula as natural rubber, the main application of PIB is in the manufacture of tire casings. However, it can also be used in lubricants, stretch film, adhesives, and sealants.
