With the purpose of narrowing the ties between the company and the stock market, Braskem performed the Braskem Day on October 23 at the New York Stock Exchange, for the third time in four years of its existence.   During the event that practically moved the NYSE the whole day, the company executives presented the recent financial income of the company, in addition to detailing its growth and internationalization strategy to the public that was made up of north-american market analysts and investors.  

At the start of the day, the executives were received by the NYSE Chief Operating Officer, Catherine Kinney, with whom they exchanged ideas on the trends of the international petrochemical market and the consolidation process of the american stock exchange, among other issues. Afterwards, to symbolize the event, the Braskem president himself, José Carlos Grubisich, operated the hand bell that opens the daily stock exchange trading floor.  
 
Braskem is the only Brazilian petrochemical company that dedicates a whole day to contacts with the financial community of the New York Stock Exchange, which contributes to expand even further its visibility in the international market. "It is an excellent opportunity to deepen Braskem relationships with the capital market", states Grubisich, "The realization of this new Braskem Day is an acknowledgment to NYSE’s growing importance to the company".

The event signifies a great occasion to confirm the commitment that the company has with management transparency, cooperative governance and with the capital markets, an important alternative to propel the growth of Braskem.
