Over 1200 athletes took part on the Half Marathon of Maceió and Braskem Half Alternation Marathon, last 9th, on the Capital of Alagoas. The event became official on the sports calendar of Maceió.

R$ 40 thousand in prizes were distributed to the winners of the marathons on male and female individual and wheelchair, and male, female and mix quartets, besides trophies and medals to all participants.

All together, more than 150 participants of Braskem in Alagoas, Bahia, São Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul and their families participated on the half marathon. There were 15 athletes from Bahia, eight from Rio Grande do Sul, four from São Paulo and over 100 from Alagoas.

Promoted by Braskem, the test was organized by Yescom, a company specialized in organizing the biggest street runs of Brazil, such as São Silvestre, the Half Marathon of Rio de Janeiro and the Volta Internacional da Pampulha, in Minas Gerais. In Maceió, Braskem counted with the support of Arnon de Mello Organization and the City Hall of Maceió.
