Check out the itinerant exhibit of winning projects of the 2008 Opera Prima

Do not miss the opportunity to get to know the winning projects of the 2008 Opera Prima contest up close. Over the coming months, 13 locations will receive the itinerant exhibit, beginning with São Paulo - at learning institutions such as the Mackenzie Presbyterian University, School of the City, Belas Artes University Center and Anhembi Morumbi University - and passing through Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Bahia and Alagoas.

The Opera Prima contest is promoted by the Brazilian Institute of Architects (IAB) and exclusively sponsored by Braskem. The contest is one of the most important in the country and it considers the best works by students graduating in architecture and urbanism from around the country who compete with their final graduation projects. Besides sponsoring Opera Prima, Braskem also encourages the special Designing with PVC category, which awards the graduating student and professor adviser for the best proposal for applying PVC components in their architecture project.

This year, 413 pre-selected students from 126 higher learning institutions in the country participated in the contest. A total of five students were granted the Opera Prima award and 20 received honorable mentions. There were five finalists in the Designing with PVC category. Two were granted the award and three were given honorable mentions.
