BRASKEM

Braskem's Green Plastic has travelled to outer space with one mission: to be turned into sustainable parts with a 3D printer.

MADE IN SPACE

American company Made In Space is the global leader for 3D printing in zero gravity.

The world’s first commercial 3D printer permanently installed outside of Earth was built using parts made of Braskem´s UTEC® (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and expands the possibilities for human activity in space. The project Printing the Future will allow astronauts to use Green PE to print objects, such as tools, gaskets, couplings and parts for repairing the International Space Station (ISS).
