With the advent of the reference year for the 10 macro-objectives of sustainable development established for 2020, we began the construction of new challenges for the 2020-2030 cycle, adapting and updating the goals for the new global demands.
Building new ESG commitments was a complex journey that took months and involved more than 500 global team members and leaders. In September 2020, this process was materialized by the approval of our Global Sustainable Development Strategy by the Board of Directors. This strategy was constructed based on analysis of global challenges and trends, the Materiality Matrix and the results of the Risk Management analysis of our business and our supply chain and at points relevant to society.
The new goals consider all the dimensions of sustainable development: economic, social and environmental, and are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals - maintaining greater priority in the SDGs where our biggest impacts are, and with the Paris Climate Change Agreement.
