In 2020, we won the first ever Sustainability Award from the Financial Perspective & Sustainability Forum during the U.S. Chemical Week in the Best Sustainable Initiative category for our circular economy product portfolio known as: I’m Green™. Our production of bio-based I'm greenT polyethylene, a renewable plastic created from sugarcane, has been recognized by the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Global Compact Brazil Network as one of the most transformative innovations in sustainable development in Brazil in the Industry & Energy category.

We are part of the IGCT (Governance Corporate Trade Index) portfolio, which recognizes issuing companies with differentiated corporate governance practices, with additional criteria to the IGC (Differentiated Corporate Governance Stock Index).

Since 2011, we have been part of the B3 Carbon Efficient Index portfolio, which demonstrates commitment by companies to transparency in their emissions.

CDP is an international non-profit organization made up of major investors who are interested in evaluating the performance of companies in the face of environmental challenges involving climate change, water resources and forests. Braskem received an A grade in 2022 for CDP Water and a B grade for climate change.

Tasked with assessing and managing sustainability practices in supply chains. Braskem ranked in the 92nd percentile in 2022 according to the survey, earning a score of 68 out of 100 points.

For the second time in a row, we received the nod as the best company in the Chemical and Petrochemical sector in practices to promote diversity. We obtained above-average grades in all assessed criteria, which include gender, people with disabilities, ethnic-racial and LGBTI+. The award is one of the fruits of our Diversity & Inclusion Program, designed to promote a work environment that is free from discrimination. In addition to the two consecutive acknowledgements in the Guia Exame de Diversidade, Braskem's work in combating inequalities within the corporate environment has also been hailed over the last few years. In 2019, the company received the WEPs (Companies Empowering Women) Award from UN Women, as well as the Will Award (Women in Leadership Latin America), which spotlights companies boasting positive practices in promoting gender equity and the inclusion of women in leadership roles.

We were selected for the 9th consecutive year in 2020 for the Sustainability Yearbook of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, in recognition of the environmental sustainability policies implemented by the company. The ranking is considered a benchmark for investors.

For the third year in a row, Braskem has been chosen to be part of the index, which evaluates companies for their promotion of female leadership and talent, gender pay equality, and an inclusive culture. The indicator evaluates and highlights successful companies that are taking action to promote these aspects.

Braskem was picked as one of the best companies in the world to work for through the Forbes Ranking. Forbes has partnered with the market research company Statista in order to compile the list, which interviewed more than 170,000 employees working for multinational companies and institutions in over 50 countries. In 2021, Braskem ranked 586th out of 750 companies.

Braskem is recognized for gender equality at work in the 6th edition of the Gender and Race Pro-Equity program, awarded by the Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights (MMFDH), UN Women and the International Labor Organization (ILO)

Braskem Idesa was recognized by Amitai and Fortune's Magazine in the Most Ethical Companies 2020 category, in Mexico. We also recognized two Compliance professionals (CCO and Compliance Leader for South America) with the Compliance on Top award, given to the most admired executives in the sector in Brazil.

In 2021, the risk rating agencies S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings will raise Braskem's rating on a global scale for BBB-, with a stable perspective, or that it becomes a major investment company. The increase better reflects two indicators of profitability and cash flow, the commitment to the growth and the expectation that the company will continue to benefit from two better petrochemical spreads in the short term.
