Braskem and Kenova Volunteer Fire Department Celebrate the Arrival of the Latest Addition to the Fire and Rescue Vehicle Fleet
Braskem (BM&FBOVESPA: BRKM3, BRKM5 and BRKM6; NYSE: BAK; LATIBEX: XBRK), the largest polyolefins producer in the Americas as well as a market leader and pioneer producer of biopolymers on an industrial scale, and the Kenova Volunteer Fire Department (KVFD) announces today, the arrival of the newest addition to the KVFD vehicle fleet. Braskem's donation of $25,000, along with those from other local companies, coupled with grants as well as state and federal assistance helped finance this most recent initiative in the Kenova Volunteer Fire Department's modernization of the fleet efforts. To mark the event, Braskem is hosting a "Welcome to the Fleet" ceremony at its Neal production facility on Wednesday, August 11 to highlight the entrance into service of the aerial ladder fire rescue truck.

Honorary guests joining the Kenova Volunteer Fire Department team and the Braskem Neal Emergency Response Team (ERT) at the Braskem ceremony include Timothy D. Bias, Mayor of Kenova, WV and John Francis, Deputy Chief, Kenova Volunteer Fire Department.
The Braskem Neal production facility is in Kenova, West Virginia employing over 106 people and producing polypropylene (PP) homopolymers used in a wide range of consumer product and manufacturing end markets.
