Braskem Announces New Phase with IG4 and Petrobras Together to Strengthen Governance and Executive Leadership Renewal
New ownership structure combines restructuring expertise and industrial-technical strength at a challenging time for the petrochemical sector

Braskem is entering an important new phase in the renewal of its governance with the inclusion of IG4 in its management structure, bringing together complementary strengths: on one side, IG4's experience in restructuring and managing complex assets; on the other, Petrobras' more active participation, supported by its technical expertise in developing Brazil's petrochemical industry.
"The partnership between the companies reflects a new phase for Braskem. By overcoming current challenges, it will help preserve the company's strategic relevance to the chemical and petrochemical value chain while continuing to contribute to the development of industry and the communities where it operates," said Hélcio Tokeshi, who assumes the role of CEO of Braskem.
This partnership expands Braskem's execution capabilities at a time of increased pressure on the sector while supporting a structured process of financial reorganization and operational adjustment in a more competitive environment.
"Our focus is now on execution: reorganizing the financial structure, improving operational efficiency while preserving liquidity, and optimizing cash generation. This will be a joint effort with Petrobras and IG4, fully focused on the company's development," said the CEO.
The change comes at a challenging moment for the chemical and petrochemical industry, characterized by greater volatility, pressure on margins, and increasing global competition. In this context, the company is beginning a process to review and strengthen its long-term strategy.
"We will move forward with a disciplined review of our strategy and capital allocation, prioritizing initiatives with clear returns. At the same time, we are advancing a structured agenda to address the company's financial position, maintaining dialogue with financial stakeholders to optimize our capital structure," added Hélcio.

As part of this new phase, Braskem will have an executive leadership team with experience in turnaround management, finance, and business transformation:
