During Interplast 2026, taking place from August 25 to 28 in Joinville, Santa Catarina, approximately 69 tons of resins supplied by Braskem will be used in demonstrations conducted by machinery manufacturers specializing in extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding. The demonstrations will allow visitors to observe the performance of the materials in different technologies and real-world processing conditions.

The initiative highlights the diversity of the company's portfolio, which includes fossil-based, renewable, and recycled solutions for a wide range of plastics processing applications. According to Leandro Fiorin, Braskem's Application Engineering Leader, the objective is to ensure that plastics converters achieve maximum productivity and quality from their equipment, regardless of the raw material chosen. "By working alongside leading machinery manufacturers, we are able to demonstrate directly on the production floor the operational efficiency and processability of our resins," he explains.

Among the solutions being showcased, one of the highlights is I'm greenT bio-based metallocene polyethylene, a recent addition to the company's portfolio. Braskem is the world's only producer of metallocene polyethylene made from renewable feedstock through a segregated and traceable supply chain. In addition to contributing to a reduced carbon footprint, the material combines quality and technical performance, expanding the range of sustainable solutions available for packaging applications, including those intended for food contact.

The resins supplied by Braskem will be used in equipment from Rulli Standard, Carnevalli, HGR Extrusoras, Haitian, Engel, Yizumi, Eurostec, Tsong Chern, Romi, and Arburg. In addition, Braskem's resins will also be available through distributors Activas, Mais Polímeros, and Piramidal, which will be present at the event.
