Pinheiro: Civil Defense Center receives second consignment of equipment

Maceió, June 18, 2019 - The Civil Defense Monitoring Center of Maceió, in the district of Pinheiro, continues to be structured to meet the demands of the community, especially in the rainy periods. The second equipment consignment will be delivered on Tuesday (18). The electronic devices were donated and will be installed by Braskem to comply with the Technical Cooperation Agreement signed among the company, the Federal, State and Labor Public Prosecutor's Offices, the municipality and the Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy (CREA-AL).

The objective is to enable the Municipal Civil Defense to monitor the data from the high-precision GPS system and from the meteorological station of Pinheiro, as well the information provided by their own systems. At this stage, the Center receives 4 monitors and videowall manager (to work as part of a single large screen); 5 computers; 4 VoIP phones; 12 Samsung tablets; 2 TV sets to be used in the videoconference system; 10 nobreaks and one Dell Power Edge server.

Braskem has also donated 40 radios, videoconference equipment and all the network infrastructure for the Civil Defense. There are two more stages estimated for delivery of furniture and equipment.

Technical cooperation

Braskem has suggested and is performing actions in the district of Pinheiro that are defined in the Technical Cooperation Agreement since April 11. The petrochemical company has already concluded the inspection services of the drainage system of Pinheiro with high-technology semi-robotic cameras; initiated the high-precision GPS monitoring to measure possible ground movements; and installed a meteorological station.

Today, companies indicated by Crea-AL and hired by Braskem are working in engineering inspection services in buildings of residential complexes and schools, besides working in pavement recovery services in streets  damaged by cracks.
