Eurobottle's journey towards the most sustainable product
Eurobottle, based in Dronten, the Netherlands, has been innovating bottle production for over 30 years. With their in-house production of durable and reusable sports and water bottles, they are dedicated to delivering more sustainable and high-quality products.
Eurobottle is guided by their motto: “Together we work on a world in which we actively contribute to a balanced and more sustainable future!” They are on a journey toward creating the most sustainable products.
“Sustainability is at the core of every decision at Eurobottle. To eliminate fossil-based resources, we opted for I’m green™ bio-based resin from Braskem in 2014, and since 2024, we have chosen to produce only biobased bottles” Peter Westveer, Commercial Director at Eurobottle

Eurobottle: sustainability journey
Eurobottle takes on this responsibility by offering reusable bottles and ensuring the end of their life cycle is addressed. Here’s the full journey:
Renewable raw materials: Eurobottle shares their journey on the sourcing ofI’m green™ bio-based polyethylene (PE) for their bottles. Watch how they took this significant step towards a more sustainable future.
Production: Renewable energy powers Eurobottle’s production process, and waste is minimised by adhering to the ‘first time right’ principle, ensuring activities are performed correctly the first time so that no rework is necessary.
Printing and Assembling: at Bewel , an organization that employs people who are distanced to the labor market, custom printing is carried out using high-quality, certified food-safe inks, and the bottles are assembled with care.
Reusability and end-of-life outcomes: Our bottles are designed for long-term use, making them 100% reusable. Moreover, they are fully recyclable due to their composition of I’m green™ bio-based PE, which can be processed through the regular waste streams.
“At Eurobottle, we prioritize environmentally responsible choices. Our sports and water bottles minimize environmental impact and support a circular economy. By using only I’m green™ bio-based polyethylene (PE), we ensure full recyclability, while avoiding silicone seals that can hinder recycling. Our bottles remain completely leak-proof.”
EUROBOTTLE
Eurobottle wants to take full responsibility for their environmental impact. Because of this they work together with ClubHub and CIRCULR ., focusing on the afterlife of their bottles, ensuring they are reused and recycled. Even when a bottle has finally reached the end of its life, its material remains valuable and can be repurposed for other applications. They promote a circular economy by transforming recycled bottles into high-quality sportswear and accessories.
