Embalixo releases new "Easy-Close" packaging
Sustainable product facilitates waste disposal

São Paulo, September 1, 2016 - In an effort to facilitate consumer life, Embalixo, Brazil's leading producer of waste bags, launches the "Easy-Close" packaging - a model with folds to facilitate packaging closing. The product is now available to consumers in four versions: 15, 30, 50 and 100 liters.
The new packaging uses Green Polyethylene - a resin developed in a pioneering effort by Braskem, the largest producer of thermoplastic resins in the Americas - as its raw material. The Green PE, produced from sugarcane, is the first resin worldwide to be certified as a 100% renewable source. By having characteristics similar to those of plastic from fossil sources, it does not require changes in manufacturing processes and can be recycled in existing chains.
Since 2011, Embalixo has adopted Green Plastic in its waste bags. "We are pleased to launch a package to facilitate consumer life, featuring the I'm GreenT seal, which reinforces our commitment to a simple and correct disposal of waste," said Rafael Costa, Chief Commercial Officer of Embalixo.
