Terminal Química Puerto México (TQPM) project won the Latin-American Oil & Gas Deal of the Year award during the IJGlobal 2023 awards ceremony, held last night in New York. IJGlobal is a renowned project & infrastructure finance publication.

TQPM, a 50/50 joint venture between Braskem Idesa and Advario, won the award for the smart project financing strategy that smoothly and efficiently secured the funding required to deliver the project.

"We are very proud and grateful of this recognition, the TQPM project is an example of the synergy that Braskem Idesa and Advario have materialized to benefit the growth of the national petrochemical industry," said Marcelo Rossini de Oliveira, CFO of Braskem Idesa together with Sophie Challet, Advario CFO, Cleantho Leite, TQPM CEO and Diana Rodriguez, Legal Director of Braskem Idesa.

Located in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz province, TQPM is a greenfield ethane storage terminal currently under construction. The terminal will have a capacity of 100,000 cbm, and will be directly connected to Braskem Idesa's petrochemical complex in Coatzacoalcos via pipeline.
