PCF Has Paid Over BRL 4.19 Billion in Compensations and Financial Aid by January
Maceió - AL, February 18, 2025- The Financial Compensation and Relocation Support Program (PCF) received 19,189 proposals from residents in the eviction areas, representing all requests submitted by the end of January. Of these, 19,058 (99.3%) were approved, and 18,977 (98.9%) compensations have already been paid. The difference between the number of proposals submitted and accepted is due to the time families have to evaluate or request a reevaluation of the amounts.
Since its creation in 2019, the program has disbursed over BRL 4.19 billion in compensation and financial aid.
The service team continues to review reanalysis requests and assist residents who have yet to provide the necessary documentation for compensation. PCF aims to ensure prompt compensation for residents enrolled in the Program.
The risk area (criticality 00) on the 2020 Civil Defense map is 100% evacuated.
Continued Assistance to Affected Neighborhoods
In the affected areas of Pinheiro, Bebedouro, Mutange, Bom Parto, and Farol, ongoing efforts include maintenance, property surveillance, domestic animal care, and continuous soil monitoring using one of the most advanced networks in the country. This system detects even minimal land movements, enabling preventive measures when necessary.
Social, environmental, and urban planning initiatives are also in progress, following the plan established with authorities and extensively discussed with the community, aimed at compensating, mitigating, and addressing the impacts of relocation in the affected neighborhoods.
Vacated Areas
Braskem remains committed not to develop the vacated areas for commercial or residential purposes (including factories, businesses, residences, condominiums, and others) as long as subsidence effects persist. Any change regarding this determination by the authorities will have to be approved in the Municipal Master Plan, which is a tool widely discussed by society.
All updated data related to the Financial Compensation and Relocation Support Program is included in the monitoring report that is presented monthly to the authorities* and is available here .
