Braskem, the largest thermoplastics resins producer in the Americas, and the leading producer of biopolymers in the world, announced today it has been ranked among the top 10 most attractive companies by 100 Open Startups Brazil 2018. 

100 Open Startups is a corporate-startup engagement platform created and maintained by more than 70 global leading organizations that together evaluate and rank startups worldwide for business generation.

The 100 Open Startups Ranking measures the attractiveness of the Brazilian corporate market to startups through a range of objective criteria, specifically related to business relations established by startups and large companies.

The 100 Open Startups 2018 winners were announced at an event in São Paulo with Fabio Buckeridge, Braskem Digital Leader, accepting the award on behalf of the company. The event keynote was provided by Prof. Saras Sarasvathy, from The Darden School, University of Virginia, who introduced the widely acclaimed concept of Effectuation as a rigorous framework for understanding the creation and growth of new organizations and markets.
