New Cuide-se Bem packages use 100% renewable material

O Boticário believes in eco-efficiency and brings a complete daily care life in plant-based plastic containers

O Boticário's Cuide-se Bem line has a new look. Along with the new concept, which invites consumers to practice the law of well-being - promoting a time for self-care, the company also took into account the care for the environment. This is the first time a complete line of the Boticário Group products brings all its items with plant-based plastic packaging.

Green Plastic, as it is known, is made of sugarcane ethanol and is 100% renewable. The product created by Braskem, the largest producer of thermoplastic resins in the Americas, is the result of a combination of innovation, technology, and sustainability. In its production process, Green Plastic captures and fixes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, contributing to reducing the greenhouse gas emissions. With the same characteristics of traditional polyethylene, the sugarcane-based packages of the Cuide-se Bem line will avoid the emission of roughly 3,000 metric tons of CO2 every year.

"With every launch of its brands, the Boticário Group encourages the reduction of the environmental impact of its products. We do this by conceiving new solutions for packaging and formulas and processes that generate positive impacts on the planet and greater benefits for people," said Malu Nunes, Sustainability Manager of the Boticário Group.

According to Gustavo Sergi, Director of Renewable Chemicals at Braskem, the release is in line with the Company's goal of improving people's lives through chemistry and plastic. "Sharing this initiative with companies that are prominent in their sectors and clearly committed to promoting sustainability is crucial for the Company and for the development of this business," he said.

To help consumers recognize the product at the time of purchase, O Boticário created the "Com Plástico Vegetal" ("With Plant-Based Plastic") icon, which guarantees the origin of the packaging. In addition to eco-efficiency, the Cuide-se Bem items bring more beautiful and fun packages that invite consumers to look at themselves. "Every woman needs to take time to take care of herself, enjoy herself and love herself more, even if it is only for a few moments a day. The world is not stopping for us, so we need to prioritize ourselves. That is the proposal of Cuide-se Bem," explained Aline Mori, Personal Care Manager at O Boticário.
